It is important to remember that all jobs listed in the public
sector require the applicant to be free to live and work in
the UK. This requirement is satisfied by citizenship in
European Union countries but the requirement is flexible
enough to provide many ways to qualify for citizens from other
places. You should check with the Home Office website, http://ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/
to find out ways to qualify.
For nationals of other countries to work in the UK requires a
work permit. In order to acquire a work permit, you must first
secure a job and then your employer will arrange a work permit
for you, but only if it can be proved that no resident
national can be found for the job.
